About Trident Healing
Trident Healing is the culmination of a life lived.
Throughout my life, I have experienced successes, bumps and bruises, accomplishments, and learning moments just like the rest of humanity. I have grown from childhood abandonment trauma of a biological father who opted to live his life without knowing me. I have brought betrayal trauma into my relationship and helped my wife and I heal from the pain. The addiction recovery enabled me to see the relational damage which is created and taught me that I am completely capable of managing my own fears and emotions. I continue to see life as a series of building blocks, where each day brings new opportunity to add a new block to our ability to experience this life in a more meaningful way.
I am so grateful for the opportunities that have been given. I am quite proud to have served as a Nuclear Submarine Officer in the United States Navy for 8 years. For the next portion of my life, I used my design and construction skills to own and operate a niche stone masonry firm. It was during these years, I began the path of healing.
Once I experienced the changes which trauma-informed coaching brought to my life, I knew I would want help others in the same way. It is my hope that I can deliver the knowledge and experience which allows people to live a life that is as meaningful as they ever imagined.
I served on Trident submarines, so the choice of my business name was in the forefront of my mind. There are so many other powerful reasons for this choice. The trident embodies the balance between creation and destruction, reflecting the cycle of life and the forces of nature. It symbolizes the power of three, representing divine mastery over oceans, seas, and rivers.
In coaching, there are so many 3’s that must be held in delicate balance throughout my work. In individual work, there is the working of mind/body/spirit and inner child/outer child/adult self. In relational work, there is the identification of each partner as well as the relationship.
In my personal life, I love to spend time with my wife and family. I am an outdoor enthusiast who loves running, hiking, skiing, and boating. Reading is a daily activity. Historical fiction is always at the top of my list. I am also a diehard football fan and am fascinated by the stock market and financial markets.
