  • What is coaching?

Coaching is a creative process in which an individual is supported to gain insight to shift their behavior and create new results. It is a partnership formed to challenge limiting beliefs, maximizing a person’s potential, and reveal a fresh perspective.

  • What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

Coaches help their clients move forward. They do not diagnose mental health or other psychiatric disorders. Coaching is not meant as a level of care with clients who are experiencing acute symptoms of trauma or crisis. Coaching centers around psychoeducation and skill-building in order to achieve personal and relational goals. It is solution focused and goal oriented.

  • Do you meet in person or virtually?

My sessions are conducted via secure Zoom links.

  • Are you able to take insurance?

Unfortunately, I do not take insurance. All payments are made via a secure credit card processing system. Payments are made the same day as the appointment.

  • I have never done group work, what can I expect?

Group work is simply amazing. The groups will be comprised of individuals who are battling similar situations that you are currently facing. These sessions allow you to feel seen and heard, while providing insight from the facilitator and support from group members.

  • I have a therapist. What benefits would I get working with a coach?

Coaching and therapy can often be used in parallel. The coaching relationship is often ideal for those who are looking to take action steps towards change. Therapy helps to uncover the past, while coaching enables you to gain additional knowledge, insight, tools, and strategies for healing.

  • How do I begin the process of healing?

In order to determine if Trident Healing is appropriate for your situation, please call or email to set up an introductory session. This 15 minute session will allow us to learn about each other and determine whether or not you wish to establish a coaching relationship.

  • Do you see women, men, and couples?

In the area of betrayal trauma, I primarily focus my practice on men and helping them to heal their relationship. Within that focus, it is often helpful to see the couple or betrayed partner as part of the healing process. In all other areas, I run an affirming and inclusive practice across all gender and sexuality spectrums.

  • How do you integrate work I am doing with other professionals around my relationship?

With written permission, I will coordinate with other professionals to ensure a continuity of care. Much of my work is with individuals who are dealing with complex care, so it is so important that this care works together to provide the best means of healing possible.

  • What are the costs associated with a Trident Healing coach relationship?

The 15 minute consultation is a no cost.

    • Intake session: $150
    • 55 minute individual session: $150
    • 55 minute couples session: $200
    • Monthly group cost: $200
